Canon Pixma iP4500 Photo Inkjet Printer (2171B002) The Canon Pixma iP4500 is a stylish unit that boasts both a five-color ink system and a 4,608-nozzle print head to deliver wonderfully lifelike color, along with bold, laser-quality text. How does it work? The print head ejects precision droplets as small as one picoliter, resulting in a breathtaking 9600 x 2400 color dot-per-inch (dpi) resolution as well as a truly exceptional level of detail. Remarkably efficient, the iP4500 also will print a borderless 4-by-6-inch photo in only about 21 seconds. And you can store both photo paper and plain paper in the two paper trays at the same time, so you’re always ready to print exactly what you need.
The user-friendly iP4500 provides lots of options, so you can indulge your creativity. With this system, you get four dye-based inks plus a pigment-based black ink, the option of printing two-sided documents to save paper, and the ability to print right from your infrared-enabled mobile camera phone. Simply capture an image with a PictBridge-ready digital camera or DV camcorder, then connect and print–it’s that simple. And to make sure your favorite shots look their best, the built-in automatic image-fixing feature via Easy PhotoPrint EX also helps ensure that each image is as clear and vibrant as possible.

Customer Review: Canon Pixma iP4500 photo printer
I recommend this product. It was easy to set up and use within 15 minutes out of the box. I’m a serious amature photographer and this is the best printer for ease of use but especially for print QUALITY. I have owned HP Photosmart printers (2) and an Epson photo printer. All dedicated to photo print jobs. All high quality machines. All did a good job. I compared 2 photos on 3 different brands of paper with the same 2 photos that I had printed on my other printers. The first thing I noticed was that the prints (full 8 1/2 X 11) came out in about 5 seconds and they were dry. When I compared the prints, the Canon gave me slightly more vivid colors and finer detail. This Canon does a GREAT job. And the price is right; especially if you can purchase it on line. I give it 5 stars.

Customer Review: Very pleased with the printer
I have been very pleased with this printer. My old printer was a HP722C which was 8 years old. I had no problems with the setup other than there was one place the instructions were not very plain on just what they wished me to do next. However, I just read it over again and realized ther was only one way to go, and I did. The printing is, for my part, very good. And it is a fast printer. I am retired, and most of what I print is personal documents, and birthday cards, etc. The colors are good and the printer does duplex printing — it will print both sides of the page without my having to turn the paper around and re-enter it. Have not used it long enough to know how much ink it uses and how much it will cost to replinish. I would buy it again in a minute if I had to buy a second printer.
